Brazil: Opening of the market in Chile for edible offal

The Brazilian government received, with satisfaction, the announcement, by the government of Chile, of authorization for Brazil to export edible offal from birds, ruminants and pigs to that country. The export of these products maximizes the use of slaughtered animals and generates additional revenue for the sector, with added value. Last year, Chile authorized the import of several Brazilian products, including fresh papaya and poultry genetic material from turkey and quail, among others. Between 2022 and 2023, agricultural exports from Brazil to Chile increased by 6.5%, rising from US$1.76 billion to US$1.87 billion.
