Opening of the market in Morocco for the export of dried distiller's grains

The Brazilian government welcomed the Moroccan government's announcement that Brazil is authorized to export DDG (“Dried Distiller Grains”) from Brazil to Morocco. DDG is a byproduct of grain distillation in the agribusiness industry. It is a nutrient-rich input used in animal feed to increase the protein and energy content of livestock. Morocco was the fourth largest destination for Brazilian agricultural exports to Africa, totaling US$1.23 billion in 2023, a year in which trade between the two countries reached US$2.65 billion.
