The Ministry of Agriculture has reported a decrease in the yields per acre of most outdoor vegetable crops, leading to a decrease in production and an increase in wholesale prices. However, pepper and outdoor tomatoes have seen a significant increase in yields and production. Other crops such as cabbage, melons, strawberries, watermelons, cucumbers, tomatoes from open areas, and potatoes have seen a decrease in production by various percentages. Imported tomatoes have seen the largest increase in wholesale price, followed by green pepper, greenhouse cucumbers, potatoes, and apples.
