Inspectors from the Border Control Directorate of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency, in collaboration with officers from the Main Directorate of Border Police, seized over half a ton of foodstuffs of animal and non-animal origin during a check of a van entering the country at the "Kalotin" checkpoint on the border with Serbia, the press center of the BAFS Agency reported. On December 18, a van with Turkish registration arrived at the checkpoint to enter Bulgaria. During the inspection, the border police officer found that the vehicle was transporting food of animal and non-animal origin without the necessary documents.
