Pakistan's imports from Iran have seen a significant increase of 47% from July to November 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, amounting to $533 million. This follows a 34% increase in the first five months of the fiscal year. Meanwhile, Pakistan's rice exports have also surged, with a 35.40% increase in the first five months of the current fiscal year, reaching over 2.377 million metric tons valued at $1.515 billion. Basmati rice exports specifically saw a 34.64% increase, totaling 370,282 metric tons, while non-basmati rice exports earned $1.129 billion compared to $832.523 million in the same period last year.
