With great sadness, Bases Federadas this week bid farewell to Ana Galmarini, an agricultural producer from Santa Fe and one of the founders of that movement which, some years ago, split from the Argentine Agrarian Federation. Her story was strongly marked by the agricultural struggle, to the point of having been a key figure in the Mujeres Lucha movement, founded by Lucy de Cornellis in La Pampa, which had great prominence during the 1990s. "It was something historic, a before and after in the agrarian struggle. She was an example of standing up, of putting her skin on the line," recalled Omar Príncipe, current president of Bases Federadas, in conversation with Bichos de Campo.
