Recently, under the supervision of the Panjin Customs of Dalian Customs, a batch of Panjin river crabs weighing 4.9 tons and valued at 478,000 yuan passed quarantine and is set to be exported to Vietnam via the Youyi Pass port in Guangxi through land transportation. This marks the first export of Panjin river crabs to Southeast Asia.
"At the beginning of this year, Vietnamese customers sent us intention orders, and we immediately consulted the customs about export precautions. The customs helped us inquire about the destination country's market access policies, guided us in conducting self-inspection and self-control, strengthened farming process management, and ensured product quality meets export requirements," said Liu Moukui, General Manager of Panjin Dayang Trade Co., Ltd.
To help Panjin river crabs expand their overseas "circle of friends," the Panjin Customs and local government authorities established an information notification and resource sharing mechanism, achieving mutual reporting of risk warning information and disease situations during crab farming; strengthened monitoring analysis and judgment to improve monitoring precision and effectiveness; integrated enterprise self-inspection and self-control items to enhance detection efficiency and reduce enterprise costs; and established a green channel for inspecting exported fresh and perishable agricultural and food products, realizing "immediate reporting and inspection, rapid clearance."
According to statistics, from January to May this year, the Panjin Customs supervised the export of 2,784 tons of live river crabs, valued at 55.07 million yuan. (By Song Panlin, Gao Zhenbo)
