Brazil: Hawaiian papaya prices increased

This week (02/26 to 03/1), Hawaiian papaya prices reacted once again in the North of Espírito Santo and South of Bahia. Even at the end of the month, when sales tend to weaken, the fruit increased in value due to low supply - a result of the rain. Thus, Hawaii type 12 to 18 was sold for R$ 2.25/kg in the northern region of Espírito Santo, an increase of 35% compared to last week.
