José Carlos Martin, the president of Paraguay's National Service for Quality and Animal Health (Senacsa), has concluded a successful visit to the Philippines, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations and expedite trade processes, particularly in the agricultural sector. The visit included the inaugural 'meat night' in Asia, attended by Japanese and Taiwanese businessmen and authorities. The main focus of the discussions was on the export of meat products to the Philippines, a potential market for bovine, porcine, and poultry meat. The Philippines has emphasized the importance of passing the final audit, scheduled for December 2024, to establish the necessary conditions for market access. A delegation from the Philippines is scheduled to visit Paraguaruan slaughterhouses in April to assess compliance with the country's requirements.
