Paraguay's pig slaughter count increased by 12% in January 2024, with a total of 58,156 pigs slaughtered, marking an increase of 6,179 from the same month in 2023. The volume of slaughtered pigs also rose by 11% to 5,242 tons. This continues an upward trend from previous years, with the slaughter count in January 2022 at 52,972, and 49,877 and 48,490 in 2021 and 2020 respectively. In total, Paraguay slaughtered 745,073 pigs in 2023, a 10% increase from 2022.
