Ports and Airports Minister Silvio Costa Filho said this Wednesday (22), in São Paulo, that the concession model adopted for the Paranaguá Port channel should inspire future federal government port concessions. Among the ports that may adopt this new concession model are those of Santos (SP), Itajaí (SC), and Salvador (BA). “Our idea is that by April 30 of next year, we can do [the auction of] at least these three more channels,” the minister told journalists. “The process is already advancing at Antaq [National Agency of Waterway Transportation]. The one in Itajaí, for example, is already at TCU [Federal Audit Court]. Our goal is that, alongside Antaq, the court, and the state governments, we can, already in the first semester of 2026, have these access channels ready and the auction [held].
