The peach and plum harvest was concluded in the administrative region of Emater/RS-Ascar of Caxias do Sul, in the municipality of Pinto Bandeira, according to the Conjunctural Report released this Thursday (5). According to the bulletin, the last fruits harvested presented a higher incidence of rot, mainly of fungal origin, due to the rainfall recorded at the beginning of January and the high relative humidity, in addition to the lower efficiency of the phytosanitary sprays in the pre-harvest period.
