Peach harvest intensifies in regions of Rio Grande do Sul

The peach harvest is advancing at different stages in the main producing regions of Rio Grande do Sul, according to the Conjunctural Information released by Emater/RS-Ascar this Thursday (18). In the administrative region of Caxias do Sul, in Pinto Bandeira, the harvesting of early varieties, such as BRS Kampai and BRS Fascínio, has already been completed. The medium-cycle cultivars, including Chimarrita, BRS Regalo, and BRS Serenata, are entering the final phase, with a gradual reduction in the volumes harvested. The PS 10711 cultivar is in full harvest, while the late varieties, such as Eragil, are in the pre-maturation phase, with fruit development and productive load considered adequate. According to Emater/RS-Ascar, the edaphoclimatic conditions recorded throughout the cycle have favored the development of the orchards, reflecting in good phytosanitary condition and maintenance of the quality of the production.
