Peach prices fluctuate between regions

According to the Economic Bulletin released by Emater/RS-Ascar this Thursday (4), the peach harvest has advanced in different regions of Rio Grande do Sul, with increased supply and price variations depending on the location and the stage of the cultivars. In the administrative region of Caxias do Sul, Emater/RS-Ascar reported that "the supply of fruits in markets and orchards has increased, with more affordable prices." According to the agency, peaches and nectarines are being harvested, with farmers in the midst of the harvest season. The fruits are being sold both in the state and in the markets of the Southeast and Northeast, with prices ranging from R$ 3.50 to R$ 6.00 per kilo, depending on the variety and destination. In Pelotas, early cultivars are being fully harvested, with production considered adequate by the technicians. The Citrino variety has already completed its entire harvest.
