(Agraria.pe) Argentina has consolidated its position as the leading global exporter of peanuts (groundnuts) by accounting for 23% of total world exports, according to data from the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of that country. The South American country not only dominates the trade of shelled peanuts and its derivatives, but also ranks fifth in the export of peanut oil and other peanut preparations. According to data provided by the Secretariat, during 2024, foreign sales reached a record of US$ 1,190 million, the highest value in the last 22 years, representing an increase of 12% compared to 2023.
