As of June 30, 2022, peanut stocks in commercial storage significantly increased to 2.77 billion pounds from 2.38 billion pounds a year earlier. The stocks consist of 1.97 billion pounds of actual farmer stock and 769 million pounds of shelled peanuts. Edible grade stocks made up 578 million pounds, with 550 million pounds being edible and 27.8 million pounds being oil. In June, millings totaled 408 million pounds, and commercial processors used 205 million pounds of shelled edible grade peanuts. Deliveries for the Government Domestic Feeding and Child Nutrition Programs reached 1.97 million pounds of peanut butter and 130 thousand pounds of roasted peanuts.
