The Brazilian pecan harvest in 2026 is expected to approach 8,000 tons, surpassing initial projections and signaling an important recovery of the sector after two cycles marked by production shortfalls. The positive performance is mainly attributed to climatic regularity and advancements in orchard management. The growth trend has been observed since the flowering period, between October and November. According to the president of the Brazilian Pecan Institute (IBPecan), Claiton Wallauer, the rainfall conditions within the normal range contributed decisively to the advancement of production. According to him, the rainfall regime within the normal range favored the development of the plants, allowing the harvest to exceed the initial estimates. The current expectation is a volume exceeding 7,000 tons, potentially approaching 8,000 tons.
