Pepper producers in Gaziantep are expressing concern over the significant price increase of peppers from the field to the market, which has led to reduced profit margins for them. Despite the high yield of the pepper harvest, the price gap between the field and the market has caused discomfort among farmers. The price of pepper has risen from 1.1 liras to 4 liras in markets, despite farmers selling it for 1 TL. Müslüm Gürsel, a pepper producer, pointed out the unfair profit margin, stating that the high prices benefit marketers rather than producers.
