As of March 22, pepper prices have seen a slight increase in Indonesia, with Lampung black pepper and Muntok white pepper reaching 4,305 USD/ton and 6,263 USD/ton respectively, while prices in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Brazil remained stable. The global pepper market is expected to become more vibrant due to a decrease in supply from major countries like Vietnam, causing a global deficit. In Vietnam, particularly in Dak Lak province which accounts for 26.57% of the country's pepper area, farmers are focusing on harvesting to end the season early for tree care. Domestic pepper prices in Vietnam are trading around 92,500 - 95,500 VND/kg.
