The global market for ginger or kion, although not yet reaching massive dimensions due to the self-sufficiency of many countries through their own local productions, registers global exports close to $1314 million annually. This landscape is clearly dominated by China, which concentrates 52% of the export market, followed by Peru with 11%, consolidated as the second global exporter in the organic segment and third in total value in 2024.
