Peru's paprika exports have seen a 9% increase in volume but a 3% decrease in value in the first half of 2024, with a total of 20,650 tons exported worth $77 million. Despite a global drop in prices due to demand normalization, it is anticipated that prices will partially recover in the next half of the year. The United States has seen a significant drop in imports, while Mexico remains the primary destination. Europe, with Spain and Russia as the main importers, has shown a 100% increase in volume and 82% increase in value of Peruvian paprika imports.
