In March 2024, Peru experienced a 24.2% increase in maca exports, shipping 248 tons compared to the 200 tons of the previous year. These exports were distributed to 15 countries, with the United States being the primary market, receiving 27.7% of the total shipment. Brazil, the Netherlands, and Germany also showed strong demand, accounting for 22.5%, 13.9%, and 12.9% of the exports, respectively. This growth in the maca export market is largely attributed to the strategic efforts and success of local export companies such as Inter Logistics S.A.C., ICH Corp. S.A., Agro Fergi S.A.C., Peruvian Nature S & S S.A.C., and C.H. Robinson Worldwide Perú S.A., which have significantly boosted the global reach and market share of Peruvian maca.
