In the first half of 2025, Peru exceeded 545,859 tons of avocados exported for $1,034 million, representing a 35% increase in volume and 20% in value compared to the same period of the previous year. In 2023 and 2024, first-half shipments represented between 63% and 65% of annual cargo. This shows the range that still exists for export values to continue increasing. According to FreshFruit, the average avocado price in this first half was $1.90 per kilogram, an 11% decrease compared to 2024, when it was around $2.13 per kilogram. This decline was particularly more evident in June, recording the lowest average price—$1.69 per kilogram—due to increased competition. Among the main destinations for Peruvian avocados, Europe continues to absorb the largest volume, but at tighter prices. The Netherlands has consolidated its position as the largest buyer of Peruvian avocados, representing 34% of exported value, followed by Spain with 17% and the United States with 14%.
