During the first quarter of 2022, Peru experienced a notable increase in the export of Tahiti limes, with a total of 8,908,367 kilos shipped earning the country US$9,390,500. This represents a significant rise in both volume and value compared to the same period in 2021, when 5,824,043 kilos were exported for US$5,463,837. The United States emerged as the primary market, receiving 45% of the total shipments, followed by Chile, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Ecosac Agrícola SAC was the leading exporter, contributing 11% of the total revenue with sales of US$1 million.
