Between January and March of this year, Peru experienced a moderate increase in the importation of fresh beef, bringing in 138,792 kilos at a CIF value of US$ 1,602,296, up from 70,621 kilos imported during the same period in 2023 at a value of US$ 947,043. The main importers included Oregon Foods, Supermercados Peruanos SA, and Cecosud Retail Perú SAC, among others. The total beef imports for 2023 reached 525,786 kilos, valued at US$ 6,024,415, with Bolivia, the United States, Brazil, and Argentina being the primary suppliers.
