Peru participated in Fruit Attraction in Spain, the third largest market for its fruit and vegetable exports, reporting a 22% increase in exports to Spain in the first seven months of the year, reaching €265 million. The country's climatic diversity allows for the production of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, making it a significant export power. At the fair, the main products on display were avocados, grapes, and asparagus, with a broad range of other products also being showcased. Promperú is working to promote Peruvian value-added products in world markets and is planning to export pineapple, organic bananas, and persimmons in the near future.
