Peru began the 2025/2026 blueberry campaign in May with a very positive performance. In the first few weeks, around 25,000 tons were exported, generating approximately $137 million in revenue across all presentations (fresh, frozen, processed, and others). Although it is still early to define final figures, the initial data points to a 25% growth in volume by the end of the campaign, which would mean surpassing 400,000 tons exported. However, the sustained increase in supply is also generating growing pressure on international prices. So far in the campaign, an approximate 35% drop in the average price has been recorded, standing at around $5.60 per kilogram, well below the levels observed in previous campaigns. This drop in prices, despite the higher volume exported, could seriously limit the growth in total value.
