Peru has resumed its grape exports to Ecuador following an agreement between the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) and the Phyto and Zoosanitary Regulation and Control Agency (Agrocalidad) of Ecuador. The agreement, signed in the Tumbes region, reinstates the phytosanitary requirements for grape exports to Ecuador, potentially benefiting 18 million consumers and reinforcing Peru's position as a leading global grape exporter. The resolution was facilitated by Midagri through Senasa, capitalizing on the Loja Action Plan, and aims to also restart Peruvian onion exports to Ecuador.
