Peru would surpass Chile this year in agricultural exports

(Agraria.pe) Two years ago, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) conducted a study on the evolution of agricultural exports from Peru and Chile between the years 2012 and 2024, showing a higher growth rate of Peruvian agricultural exports and projecting that they would surpass Chilean agricultural shipments by 2027. However, a recent technical note from Midagri indicates that between the years 2010 and 2024, Peruvian agricultural exports grew at an average annual rate of 11% and Chilean agricultural exports at 6.1%, with Peru recording a record export figure of 9,185 million dollars in 2024, while Chile totaled 9,403 million.
