In March, Peruvian artichoke exports saw a significant increase, with a 37% rise in volume and a 12% increase in value compared to the same period in 2024, totaling 3,385 tons valued at US$8.1 million. Despite this, the average price per kilogram dropped by 18.1% to US$2.40, with the United States continuing to be the primary market, followed by Spain and Germany. Danper Trujillo S.A.C., Virú S.A., and Alsur Perú S.A.C. were the leading exporters, focusing on the United States and Spain, and all exports were transported by sea, with the APM Terminals and DP World ports handling the shipments.
