Sales of Peruvian blueberries have increased by 31% compared to the same period last year, covering over 17,943 hectares with an anticipated yield of 275,000 tons, marking a 25% increase from the previous season. Despite this growth, the international economic climate has led the export association to forecast a potential crisis due to a drop in export prices, which have fallen from €11.11 to €5.41 per kilo over the past nine months. The decrease in prices, coupled with rising cultivation costs, has forced many growers to sell at a loss to retain customers.
