Conventional wine shipments reached $895,675 from January to August of the current year, with the United States, France, Japan, and the United Kingdom among the top ten recipients. The country's wine industry has seen steady growth from 2019 to 2023, expanding at an average annual rate of 6%, and has led to the creation of nearly 36,000 jobs. The industry is working on a strategy to further position Peruvian wine in the national and international market. Meanwhile, the 5th National Peruvian Wine Competition is planned to promote heritage wines, made from a variety of grapes, and encourage their consumption and export.
