Peruvian fresh lemon reached 11 markets in November 2024, two more than in the same month last year

(Agraria.pe) In November of this year, Peru exported 3,390 tons of fresh lemon for US$ 3.78 million, which represented a growth of 10% in volume and 19% in value, compared to what was achieved in the same month of 2023. The average price of the product also increased by 8%, standing at US$ 1.11 per kilogram, compared to the US$ 1.03 per kilogram recorded in November of last year. In the month analyzed this year, 11 markets were served, 2 more than last year. Chile remained the main export destination (33% share), with a total of 1,359 tons for US$ 1.3 million, which meant a growth of +61% in volume and +76% in value compared to the same month in 2023. The average price of Peruvian lemon in the Chilean market increased 9%, reaching US$ 0.93 per kilogram. The Netherlands ranked second (27% share), with 733 tons purchased for US$ 1.03 million.
