Negotiations are underway to grant Peruvian grapes and granadilla greater access to the Chilean market, with a focus on updating phytosanitary requirements for these products. The process, which began in 2012, involves a pest risk analysis and public consultation, with an expected conclusion in March 2021. Meanwhile, Peru is also seeking to establish requirements for the import of fresh fruits of annona cherimola (cherimoya), various species of rubus (raspberry), and Opuntia ficus-indica (prickly pear) to Chile.
