Fresh Peruvian lemon exports performed well in the first quarter of 2025, reaching 22,278 tons valued at $22 million. This represented a growth of 44% in volume and 35% in value compared to the same period in 2024, despite a reduction in the average price, which stood at $0.99 per kilogram (-6.2%), according to FreshFruit. The United States remained the main market for Peruvian lemons among the 16 countries to which it was sold in the quarter (48% of total exports), with 9,961 tons worth $10.5 million, increasing 24% in volume and 15% in value compared to 2024. Chile consolidated its second place position (12%), significantly increasing its purchases to 3,928 tons (+68%) for $2.8 million. The Netherlands (8%) stood out with a growth of 480% in volume and 523% in value, reaching 1,271 tons valued at $1.8 million. The main exporters were Procesadora Laran S.A.C., Sociedad Agrícola Rapel S.A.C., and Agroexportadora Sol de Olmos S.A.C., which together represented 41% of total exports. ...
