Peruvian loctao bean exports grow significantly and reach 7,562 tons between January and November

(Agraria.pe) Between January and November 2024, Peruvian loctao bean exports reached 7,562.5 tons, marking a notable increase compared to the data from 2017, when it barely reached 132.8 tons in the same period. The information is highlighted by market analyst Heber Chávez, who says that this bean is grown by small producers in areas such as Piura, Lambayeque and La Libertad, where production is concentrated. “Loctao has been progressively growing in exports, and in the last six years it has grown 846.4% in the amount exported between January and November,” he explained.
