(Agraria.pe) The transformation of Peruvian mango is an exemplary case of growth with a strategic vision. What began as an incipient cultivation in the nineties, with limited export attempts, is today a pillar of our agribusiness, valued in international markets. At the end of 1973, the Haden mango from the San Lorenzo valley had the opportunity to be exported to the international market. In 1979, the great reception of Haden mangoes in the Canadian market was announced, and the Peruvian mango had sustained growth and positioned itself globally, taking advantage of its commercial window between November and March. Today, Peru has positioned itself among the top three global exporters, with the Kent variety as a standard of quality and flavor. This maturity was confirmed with an unprecedented historical milestone: the 2024-2025 campaign managed to export 286,311 metric tons to 38 destinations.
