Peru is working to adapt several agricultural products, including mango, blueberry, avocado, grapes, asparagus, citrus, ginger, and pitahaya, to enter new markets such as Argentina, Iran, Malaysia, Morocco, South Africa, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Israel. This initiative is supported by the National Agricultural Health Service of Peru (Senasa). However, the 2021-2022 mango campaign saw an 11% drop in volume and 7% in value due to production difficulties. Oversupply in the Dutch market has led to a price reduction, affecting profitability.
