Peruvian passion fruit export performance in May 2024

Peru exported 1,201 tons of passion fruit for $4.14 million in May 2024, marking a drop of 24.9% in volume and 38.4% in value compared to the same period of the previous year (1,599 tons for $6.72 million), according to FreshFruit. The average price experienced a decrease of 18.0%, closing at $3.45 per kilogram. Regarding destinations, Peruvian fruit reached 16 markets, one less than in 2023. The United States was the main destination (32.4%), with exports valued at $1.34 million (321 tons at an average price of $4.18 per kilogram).
