From January to October 2024, Peru experienced a 20% increase in turmeric exports, totaling 3,063.5 tons compared to the previous year. The product was exported to 28 countries, with the Netherlands being the primary consumer, accounting for 48.7% of the shipments. Spain followed in second place with 15.4% of the shipments. The exports included various forms of turmeric such as fresh, flour, and dehydrated flakes. The main exporting companies were Cooperativa Agraria Vancardbio Pichanaqui LTDA., JCH Agroexportaciones S.A.C., and Vancard Peru S.A.C.
