Embrapa uses the study to launch a publication on the phases of chickpea cultivation in Brazil

Phenology, considered an important tool to support production techniques, was the study pioneered by Embrapa Vegetables to define the different stages of kabuli chickpea culture, both in its vegetative part - germination, emergence, shoot and root growth - as in reproductive - flowering, fruiting, seed formation and maturation. The construction and results of this knowledge, defined as the phenological scale of chickpeas, are presented in Technical Communiqué 133 “Phenology of Kabuli-type chickpeas”, recently published, which can be accessed here. “The use of the chickpea crop scale will allow communication between the various publics involved, such as researchers, public and private technical assistance agents, extension workers and producers”, highlights analyst Sabrina Carvalho, who participated in the study.
