The Philippine Department of Agriculture has imposed a temporary ban on pork products from Singapore, following the detection of African swine fever in the Republic. The ban includes products transported by hand, such as pork, pork skin, and pork semen. Despite Singapore not being an accredited exporter of pork products to the Philippines, the ban will remain in effect until a written repeal is issued. The Philippines will also refuse any sanitary and phytosanitary import permits for pork products from Singapore and will confiscate these products at all major ports of entry.
