Phu Luong district in Vietnam has seen a steady increase in tea production, covering over 4,000 hectares with an annual growth of 2%. The district has focused on advanced production techniques and introducing new tea varieties, which account for 71% of the total area. In 2020, the district produced an estimated 8650 tons of processed green tea. By 2025, Phu Luong aims to expand its tea area to 4,150 hectares, with a production value of 1,330 billion VND. The district plans to promote tea promotion through annual Tea Festivals, quality improvement, and creating a value chain from production to consumption. It also intends to support investment in closed-scale processing zones and equipment replacement for small-scale processors.
