Ukraine has banned the import of pigs from the EU due to the spread of African swine fever (ASFV) in Member States, the Ivano-Frankivsk department of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) reports on Facebook. Under the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) information, ASFV cases have been reported in the European Union, including in the Slovak Republic, Romania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria and Hungary.
