Pitahayas Baleno announced its extraordinary 2025 harvest, which exceeds 50 tons of pitahaya destined for the markets of Europe and Costa Rica, as a result of the application of LED technology in its crops, an innovation implemented for the first time in Peru in this sector. The incorporation of LED lighting allows for the stimulation of flowering and maximization of production during the last months of the year, guaranteeing a constant supply of high-quality fruit for international markets. Thanks to this technological advancement, during the month of December the company has been exporting more than 50 tons of pitahaya, known as dragon fruit, to Spain, Portugal, and Costa Rica, through air shipments that ensure freshness and a premium standard.
