The Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Piura is working on the formation of a multisectoral technical table within the framework of the Public Investment Project for Cotton, with the objective of strengthening and dynamizing the productive chain of this traditional crop. In this line, the director of the entity met with agrarian producers from the peasant community San Lucas de Colán, in the province of Paita, to whom he explained the importance of articulating efforts among all beneficiaries of the project for the installation of this technical table. This space will allow consolidating a more competitive and sustainable sector, as well as generating proposals aimed at improving the productivity, quality, and commercialization of pima cotton.
