Spain: Planas calls for an effort from the links in the chain to moderate olive oil prices

MADRID, Dec. 2 (EUROPA PRESS) - The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, has called for the responsibility of all the links in the chain so that they make an effort to moderate olive oil prices and avoid speculative situations. "In the same way that as a minister I have publicly vindicated the need for our farmers to have a fair remuneration for their work, and for our industry to obtain benefits to develop its activity, at this time I call for an effort to moderate prices and avoid speculative situations to allow the level of consumption and exports that have cost so much to achieve to be maintained", he stated.
