The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAP) of the Government of the Canary Islands has announced financial support for the restoration of farms destroyed by the volcano on La Palma. The ministry conveyed its commitment to the recovery and reactivation of agricultural and livestock activities on the island and recalled that a decree has been approved to distribute a package of aid worth 20.8 million euros. This aid will be distributed among various types of coverage, infrastructures, and sectors to address the immediate needs of the sector. Additionally, the ministry has provided financial support to fishing and aquaculture facilities and compensation to shipowners and crew members for the fleet stoppage.
