A few days before the fine harvest begins nationwide, surely some clenched fists are celebrating the encouraging estimates on the fifth floor of the Palace of Finance. As predicted days ago, the expectation is that, between December and March, these crops will provide foreign currency to the Treasury, since the changes in the withholding scheme allowed for very good numbers to reach October, but liquidated most of the stocks. In that scenario, the good projections for barley for beer and forage stand out, where a production of about 5 million tons is expected and a recovery of the yields that contracted in the previous campaign. They assure that Argentina is on its way to comfortably consolidating itself as the second exporter globally.
