Due to the Polish government's ban on the import and transit of various Ukrainian agricultural products, including grain, a significant number of dairy trucks are currently stuck at the Ukrainian-Polish border. These trucks have cleared Ukrainian customs but are being prevented from entering Poland. Despite this setback, Ukrainian dairy products have found alternative markets in the Baltic countries, Germany, the Netherlands, and Ireland, following the European Union's abolition of customs duties. The executive director of the Union of Dairy Enterprises, Arsen Didur, noted that the loss of these products in Europe will be insignificant due to the continent's surplus and high dairy product competition. The situation arose after the resignation of Poland's Agriculture Minister, Henryk Kowalczyk, who stepped down due to farmer protests against Ukrainian grain imports, which they believe are driving down their product prices.
